2017 Undergraduate Keats Seminar Class

Students of the Keats Seminar course convened on December 1st, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Herbert Henry Lehman College within Carman Hall in the Bronx and performed some of Keats’ several works. The meeting showed the overall learning experience of the students throughout the Keats Seminar course.The commissioners have reported that the recitations should be separated by different types of poetry.

The recitations were distributed into three acts with a quick intermission. Kevin Cepero performed a recitation passage called “On first looking into Chapman’s Homer, 1816.” Seun Eleyinafe performed lines from Keat’s work “Endymion.” Leah Liceaga performed “The Eve of Saint Agnes.” Georgia Manesis performed “To a friend who sent me roses.” Luisana Martinez performed “Sonnet to a Cat.” Anthony Mikolinacz and Jerlisa Ware performed parts of “Ode on a Grecian Urn.” Diana Reinoso performed “La Belle dame sans mercy.” Ashley Sanchez performed lines from “Modern Love.” Mariam Yousef performed lines from “On Sitting Down to read King Lear.” Kristy Paz performed lines from “Letter to Fanny Brawne, before 12 August 1820.” Melissa Ruiz performed lines from “Letter to George and Georgiana.” Massiel Mota performed lines from “O Solitude! If I must with thee dwell.” Michelle Santillian performed lines from “Ode on Melancholy.” Ariel Richards performed lines from “Sonnet on the Sea.”

The recitations were successful because they showed the overall learning experience in the course. Each Keats’ scholar was capable of reciting their favorite piece by Keats.
